Pixie Geldof's tattoo tribute to tragic mother Paula Yates

She lost her mother Paula Yates in tragic circumstances to a heroin overdose at just ten years of age.

Now Pixie Geldof has unveiled a permanent tribute in the form of a tattoo of the presenter's signature on the inside of her left wrist.

Pixie, who turned 18 last month on the eighth anniversary of Miss Yates' death, unveiled the body art during her birthday celebrations.

Perhaps she is following in the footsteps of big sister Peaches who, at the age of 19, already has 16 pieces of body art.

These include a design which reads Ex-Valentine, in the same place that the late Miss Yates sported a large green depiction of a dragon.
