Amelle and Jade giggle on a jetski ride

Sugababes Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen are certainly making the most of their trip to Barbados.

The pair decided to try their hands at watersports before 2009 was out and took to the waves to jetski and bodyboard on New Year's Eve.

The girls did not seem to be missing band mate Heidi Range too much as they gallivanted in the sea.

Best of friends: Sugababes Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen take a jetski for a spin in Barbados on New Year's Eve

The 26-year-old singer, now the longest-serving member of the band, has flown to India to spend New Year with boyfriend Dave Berry.

The girls flew to Barbados earlier this week for a show but Jade, 21, and Amelle are staying on the island until January 9.

Amelle, 25, wrote on her Twitter page how she and Jade were enjoying the sunshine.

She added: 'We got a little teary when heidi left though!! She's going 2 india 2morra though and she'll have a grear time with her man. Xxxx'

While Jade updated her page with the message: 'On the beach with amelle in barbados! Luvin the sun! Sad to see heidi go tho :( miss u already babe!'

The girl group have had a turbulent year, with the departure of founding member Keisha Buchanan, and arrival of Jade.

Amelle also split up with her long-term boyfriend and at her lowest ebb spent three weeks in a health clinic suffering from depression brought on by the stress of her troubles.

But Jade has clearly hit it off with her and the pair have seemed inseperable over the past few weeks.

Last night Amelle wrote on Twitter: 'Me and jay just got back 2 the room. Knackered! Been playing football! Love it!!'

Sugababe Heidi loses her shoe on the catwalk

The hair, make-up and dresses were perfect, the steps had been rehearsed, and the celebrity audience was in place.

But you can't plan for everything. And as Heidi Range and her Sugababe bandmates marched down the catwalk last night she stepped right out of her designer shoe.

The Push The Button singer looked horrified as she realised her fashion faux pas. But, a true professional, she didn't miss a step.

Oops: Heidi's heel slips off as she and Sugababes Amelle Berrabah and Keisha Buchanan walk the catwalk at the Natural History Museum in London last night

In her one remaining shoe the 25-year-old kept up with her bandmates Keisha Buchanan and Amelle Berrabah, although by now she was a good few inches shorter.

One thing Heidi couldn't control, however, was her laughter. The audience joined in as she screamed with amusement at the mistake.

The three bandmates, in their matching metallic pink studded dresses, were taking part in the Fashion for Relief show at the Natural History Museum in London.

The charity show, organised by Naomi Campbell, saw the A list came out in force at London Fashion Week.

Sugababes learn pole-dancing for their sexiest video yet

After a short break from the charts, Sugababes are back to reclaim their crown as Britain's most successful girl group.

While their chart rivals Girls Aloud are busy touring Britain, Sugababes have been hard at work in the studio on their sixth studio album.

Their forthcoming new single 'Girls' not only sees another change of musical direction for the ever-experimental pop trio, but also gives the group a chance to show their often hidden sexy side in the accompanying video.

Seductive: Newest Sugababes member Amelle Berrabah wraps herself around a pole for the group's video for their new single 'Girls'

The video for their new single 'Girls' features bandmembers Amelle Berrabah, Keisha Buchanan and Heidi Range enjoying a girl's night out at a pole-dancing club.

The track is a female-friendly, girl power anthem which samples Ernie-K-Doe's 1960s track Here Comes The Girls, which has been featured on Boots TV ads in recent years.

Newest Sugababes Amelle, 24, decided to have pole-dancing lessons before filming the video yesterday so she wouldn't make a fool out of herself on the pole.

In one segment that is sure to set pulses racing, stunning Amelle gets up close with a scantily-clad female dancer as they writhe around the pole together.

Balancing act: Keisha teeters on the side of the stage in knee-high stiletto boots

This isn't the first time the group have attempted pole-dancing in one of their videos - ex-Sugababe Mutya Buena performed the raunchy dance in the video to the group's 2004 single In The Middle.

The group's longest-standing member Keisha, 23, made sure the pole-dancing wasn't too awkward after enlisting her boyfriend Dean Thomas to star in the video.

The couple have been dating since last year after Keisha split from long-term love , basketball player Zayne.

In the 'Girls' video, Keisha performs a sexy dance routine for Dean, before pushing him away to return to her female pals.

Racy lacy lady: Heidi goes for the rock chick look in a lacy mini-dress

Despite the soul influences of the track, the trio have embraced Eighties disco style for the video.

All three girls have opted for the ripped, netted look, with Amelle and Heidi wears killer heels.

Meanwhile, Keisha raunches it up in PVC thigh-high boots.

After recruiting female fans to star in the video, producers denied accusations they were being unfair by failing to pay those who starred in the video.

A spokesman for the Sugababes said: 'No professional dancers are being asked to do anything for free. This is an opportunity for people who don’t dance for a living but who fancy their chances.'

Sugababes will be hoping for another hit with 'Girls' after racking up an impressive seven number one singles and 14 top 10 hits.

'Girls' is set for release online on September 29th and the group's as-yet-untitled album will follow on October 20th.
