Lily Allen is smiling again with a new mystery man by her side

Lily Allen's troubled fortunes could be taking a turn for the better – as she appears to have a new love in her life.

The singer was spotted sharing a romantic morning stroll with a tousle-haired man after having breakfast in East London yesterday.

Both wore almost identical grey tracksuit bottoms and black hooded tops as they went to the Little Georgia Cafe in Shoreditch to eat with friends.

The Smile singer has admitted she had a "miserable" start to the year.

First she suffered a miscarriage, then her relationship broke up and finally her new BBC Three show Lily Allen And Friends was panned by critics.

But she was in ebullient mood yesterday and her companion could not seem to keep his hands off her.

Sources at the cafe said they were "very relaxed" and ate a traditional breakfast.

"They were with a group of about half a dozen people," an onlooker said.

"They had tea and scrambled eggs, things like that. They were very laid-back.

"They weren't being intimate or anything, it was all very relaxed."

Miss Allen, 22, popped out of the cafe to make a phone call and then strode down the street with her arm wrapped around her partner.

The singer tragically lost her baby in January, and then a few weeks later split from her 37-year-old boyfriend Ed Simons, of the Chemical Brothers, after a five-month romance.

She posted a message to fans on her MySpace internet page at the time, saying: "I have been miserable lately."
