Minnie Driver prepares for birth of her baby... but is not sure whether she'll stay with the father

Minnie Driver made the most of her last pre-baby days yesterday after admitting that she is not sure if she will stay with the child's father.

The glowing actress – who is due any day now – looked happy and relaxed as she visited a pet supplies store in Malibu with her dog Bubba.

Minnie, who has yet to reveal the identity of her baby's father, recently admitted she is not sure if he will have a role in the child’s life.

‘I’m not married and I don’t know if I’ll stay with the guy,' she told the New York Post.

‘It’s great to be an independent creature. Today you don’t need a man any more. In the old days, if you had a baby without marriage, people would put you out. I’m very into feeling this female thing.'

The 38-year-old, who has denied reports that Californian musician Craig Zolezzi is the father of her unborn child, also confessed that she is extremely nervous about the impending birth.

‘My mum and aunt Serena will be with me, as will my best friends, a midwife and a yoga teacher. And I’ll be the wailing monster at the centre,’ she said.

She revealed that her beloved pooch has been a constant source of comfort throughout the last nine months.

‘With this pregnancy, I was very sick for the first four months. My black Labrador, Bubba, my forever constant loving companion, knew it,’ she said.

‘He’d see me lying on the couch. He’d stay with me. He felt for me.’
