She started off her holiday in Barbados by wearing a tasteful bright red one-piece swimsuit.

However, over the past few days, Danielle Bux has discarded this for slightly more revealing attire.

The 30-year-old is in the Caribbean with her husband, Match Of The Day host Gary Lineker, 49, to celebrate the New Year.

After looking stunning in a swimsuit, Welsh Danielle, who has taken her new husband’s surname, wore a blue bikini with white trimming – as well as a Cheryl Cole-style cowboy hat.

In a final costume change, the following day the model and presenter stripped down to a itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny black poker-dot bikini as she strolled along the white sand with father-of-four Gary.

The couple, who married in September, were seen frolicking on the beach, as they lazed around on loungers in the sun – which must have seemed a million miles away from the dismal weather in the UK.

Other celebrities had the same idea, with X Factor winner Alextra Burke as well as the Sugarbabes ditching the grey clouds of home for sunshine in Barbados.

With straw hat, sunglasses and a swimsuit showing off every spectacular curve, she has what can only be described as the Cheryl Cole factor.

In fact, 30-year-old Danielle Bux, the new wife of Match of the Day host Gary Lineker, could easily have been mistaken for the X Factor judge as she walked on the beach in Barbados.

He was his country's top scorer in his footballing days, but it was Gary Lineker's wife who displayed the sharper footwork in Barbados this week.

Danielle Bux, who now uses her husband's surname, kicked off a little Wales vs England tussle by giving her new husband a cheeky boot up the Arsenal.

Gary, 49, tried to mount a counter attack, but his wife's defence held firm and the former England and Spurs striker was left floundering in the sea, almost crashing to the ground in what could have well have been a yellow card offence.

With dreadful weather conditions sweeping the nation, it's no wonder the couple have upped sticks for warmer climes.

Gary and Danielle are currently holidaying in Barbados, along with a rash of various celebrities.

Danielle Bux seemed all to keen to show of her perfectly even tan but almost exposed too much of herself and narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction.

The bride-to-be of Gary Linker, 48, enjoyed a night out with the girls at London nightspot Mahiki sporting a little black dress.

But the strapless number nearly let her down by slipping and was millimeters from exposing too much of her bust.

The 30-year-old former air hostess looked even more tanned than usual on the night out.

But with the amount of sunshine holidays the model has enjoyed in the last year, there's no need for Danielle to fake her tan.

It is more than likely the result of all the holidays she has enjoyed in the last 12 months with husband-to-be Gary.

The pair have been on nine holidays in 18 months - ahead of their planned nuptials in Italy in a few weeks.

The couple are believed to be planning a romantic wedding in the Italian Riviera - where they got engaged.

They are said to be keeping the wedding private with close friends and family only with Danielle ordering it not to turn into a WAG-style affair.

The destination is a popular choice for celebrities. Wayne and Coleen Rooney tied the knot there last year in a £5million ceremony dubbed the Wag Wedding of the Year. Rocker Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster also married there, in 2007.

He found a romantic Italian beauty spot to propose and now Gary Lineker and Danielle Bux are due to tie the knot in the exact spot a year later.

The beautiful setting has been favoured by many celebrities in the past, boasting stunning views and five star luxury.

In three weeks the celebrity couple will marry in Ravello - with Danielle's seven-year-old daughter Ella accompanying her down the aisle as a flower girl.

The lavish event will cost £250,000, including flights, hiring the hotel and the honeymoon, according to the Sunday Mirror, but the couple are said to be keen to stop it becoming a wag-style wedding.

But they are following in the footsteps of some famous faces by choosing the hotel. Previous guests include Humphrey Bogart, Jackie Kennedy, Rod Stewart and Dustin Hoffman.

And celebrity guests will include fellow TV football presenter Alan Hansen and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, with who he filmed Walkers crisps adverts .

Around 60 close friends and family will attend the nuptials with Danielle, 30, given away by her wheelchair-bound brother Kaid, who suffered a broken neck after escaping from a nightclub fight.

Lineker is said to have rented out all 48 rooms in the hotel to ensure they have complete privacy - something that came at a cost of £110,000.

A source told the newspaper: "It's almost exactly a year after Gary popped the question and in the same place. They chose it because Gary knows Italy is her favourite place in the world.

"He doesn't want it to be over-the-top as some footballers' weddings and they have only invited close friends and family."

Guests will be treated to a extravagant six-course meal which will probably include the hotel's specialty medallion of lobster with Sorrento orange.

Later they will have the use of the hotel's helicopter and motor-cruiser for trips around the Med.

Lineker has already moved into a new six-bedroom mansion which is less than half a mile from his old bachelor pad.

The childhood sweethearts have four sons - George, 16, Harry, 13, Tobias, 11 and Angus, nine - all of whom have recently holidayed with their father's new love in Barbados.

George looked the picture of health as he joined father Lineker and his new love on the red carpet at the Batman premiere on Monday.

He was diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia at just six weeks old and received intensive treatment at London's Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Bux meanwhile is a single mother with a five-year-old daughter Ella by former Coventry City player Adam Willis.

Mr Willis, 31, is now retired from football following a car accident and works as a PE teacher in Coventry.

He dated Miss Bux for six years.
