Eva Longoria steals husband Tony's winnings to fund her gambling

She may be the millionaire star of Desperate Housewives, but even Eva Longoria Parker sometimes need to raid her husband's pocket for some extra cash.

Like many wives and girlfriends, Eva didn't want to ruin her outfit with a bulky wallet full of bank notes, so relied on her husband Tony Parker to fund her gambling.

The actress and basketball star co-hosted their first annual Celebrity Casino Night in Eva's native Texas - where Parker plays for the San Antonio Spurs - on Saturday night.

As well as organising the event, Eva and Tony showed off their gambling skills to delighted onlookers.

After winning money at the craps table, Eva quickly hurried over to her husband for more funds so she could raise her game.

Despite Eva earning a reported £125,000 per episode of Desperate Housewives, her salary is dwarfed by Belgian-born husband Tony, who is set to earn £5million this year.

The couple spent up a storm playing poker, roulette and craps at the fun-filled evening.

They were joined at the event by House M.D. star Jennifer Morrison.

A notable absence was Eva's best friend Victoria Beckham, who appeared to have stayed in Hollywood for the weekend.

Funds from the evening went to the TV star's charity Eva's Heroes, which helps children with intellectual disabilities.

Eva started the charity two years ago after growing up with a disabled sister Elizabeth.

Speaking of her sister, Eva said: 'She was a premature baby and didn't get enough oxygen to her brain.

'The doctors said she'd never talk, laugh or show emotions, and would probably be dead by the age of three. But now she's 44 and has a job. She can even take the bus. It's never about what Elizabeth can't do. It's what she can do.

'As children we were always taught that she had to come first because she had special needs.

It's a hard lesson when you're little, but, as you grow older, you appreciate how important it is to think of someone else first. Elizabeth is the real star in our family. She is brutally honest and that helps me keep my feet on the ground.'
