Heather Mills booed and heckled as she appears as judge at Miss USA Pageant

A shocked Heather Mills was booed and jeered as she was introduced as a judge at the Miss USA 2008 Pageant.

The former model – who has previously claimed that public opinion of her in the US was "99 per cent positive" – was visibly upset when part of the audience at the Planet Hollywood hotel in Las Vegas began to heckle as she took to the stage with hosts Donny and Marie Osmond.

The live TV contest was Mills's first major public appearance since her £25 million divorce settlement from Sir Paul McCartney.

It came just days after she launched an astonishing tirade against Sir Paul McCartney and "his three girlfriends" on GMTV, saying:

"I wish all the girls the best of luck. Better them than me."

"99 per cent positive - I've always wanted to live here but I've always said that I can't live here because I want to keep my daughter near her father," she added.

After the contest Mills attempted to shrug off the heckling:

"I really enjoyed myself. It was a great contest. If there was some negative reaction, what can you do? There will always be some people like that." She said.

Mills was on a panel of ten judges on Donald Trump's Miss U.S.A beauty contest.

She is staying at the five-star Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, where rooms cost up to £5,000 a night, courtesy of the programme.

A spokesman for Miss USA refused to comment on the booing. He added: "We were pleased to have Heather participate on our panel."

In an itsy-bitsy polka-dot bikini Pink cut a feminine figure as she frolicked in the waves with a mystery man.

After filing for divorce from husband Carey Hart in February, the pop star appeared to be getting on with her love life on the beach in California.

And, perhaps her new man could be the explanation for her sudden change in style.

Showing off her many tattoos, Pink did not seem to be burdened by her split from husband of 21 months Hart.

They announced their seperation amidst rumours he had been cheating on her.

Pink was also overheard in Hollywood restaurant Eleven saying she needed "space" from her 33-year-old husband.

These rumours were then substantiated when the popstar's publicist Michele Schweitzer confirmed: "Pink and Carey Hart have separated.

"This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another.

Tennis ace Serena Williams holds court at Miami Beach in a tiny bikini

After serving up yet another tournament victory in Florida, Serena Williams enjoyed a well-deserved day of sun and fun at Miami beach yesterday.

The star looked relaxed as she showed of her athletic physique in very skimpy black bikini while cooling off in the surf.

Her mood couldn't have been more different on Saturday as she battled it out on the court in a tense match against Jelena Jankovic.

She smashed her racket on the stadium court at one point during the game before recovering to defeat the fourth-seed 6-1, 5-7, 6-3.

The win claimed her fifth Sony Ericsson Open title - a tie with Steffi Graf for the most women's singles titles at Key Biscayne.

The 26-year-old was thrilled to be matching her hero's record, saying after the match: "I love Steffi Graf. She's a great champion and was my role model.

Williams', who was last year romantically linked to rapper Common, has long been criticised for devoting too energy on her pursuits away from the court, including fashion design.

But she insists tennis is once again her top priority.

She says with a laugh: "I wasn't making as much money, so I've got to go back to the bread and butter."

"I feel like all I want to do is play tennis."

Kate Hudson suffers a wardrobe malfunction as her spectacular green dress clashes with a blue carpet

Her dress was exquisite, her face radiant and her blonde hair prettily chic.

But despite all that, Kate Hudson was still struck by a bizarre - and unexpected - wardrobe malfunction as she arrived at the London premiere of her new movie last night.

The source of the faux pas was a blue replacement for the traditional red carpet; the aggravating feature her dress, a shimmering confection of turquoise green and gold.

Colour co-ordinated they certainly weren't and Goldie Hawn's 28-year-old daughter may well have been left pondering the old adage blue and green should never be seen.

However, if the horror of the clashing carpet did put her off her stride, she certainly didn't show it and was soon arranging her spectacular John Galliano gown, which was heavily embellished with embroidery and tassels, for the cameras.

The appearance of Hollywood hunk Matthew McConaughey, her co-star in new film Fool's Gold, seemed to make her even happier and the pair were soon laughing and fooling around on the blue carpet, which had been rolled out in Leicester Square.

Miss Hudson, who was wearing Bulgari jewellery, happily admitted that she was the latest Hollywood star to fall victim to some clever computer trickery after her cleavage was digitally enhanced on publicity material.

"You've just got to let those things go," she said, "I can't tell you how many magazines I've been on where my eyes are blue. I don't have blue eyes, I have green eyes.

Jordan the buxom mermaid makes a splash at book signing

There's very little Jordan won't do in the name of publicity, and her latest appearance at a London book signing is a rather colourful case in point.

The star arrived at Waterstone's in Harrods dressed as an eye-popping mermaid, complete with flowing black tresses and a pink fishtail skirt in her most fanciful fashion ensemble to date.

She is already the author of three best-selling memoirs as well as toddlers' books and novels for both children and teens - most of which have been ghost written by former journalist Rebecca Farnworth.

If fans were not star struck before they saw pop singer Rihanna, they certainly will be now.

The R&B artist revealed her latest tattoo to eagerly awaiting fans in New York, a collection of stars plunging down her back.

The singer, who has only just turned 20, already has four other tattoos - a music note on her ankle, a Pisces behind her right ear, a star inside her left ear and a Sanskrit prayer going down the hip.

She was later seen coming out of the tattoo parlour wearing a green top - perhaps to hide the painful and sore price of her latest fashion accessory.

Sports presenter Natalie Pinkham has gone from Dancing On Ice to yoga at sea as she holidays in Dubai.

While England braves an unusually snowy April, the Heart FM DJ has fled the plummeting temperatures to enjoy the sunnier climes of the Arabian Gulf.

Living up to her Channel 4 show Adrenalin Rush, the fit brunette shuns lazing by the pool for water-skiing, swimming and sailing.

Despite being voted off Dancing On Ice in the second week, it's clear Natalie has kept her trim figure after three months training on the ice.
