But although groomed to within an inch of her life with perfectly applied make-up, and a stunning gown, it couldn't hide the fact that six months after the birth of her twins she has lost even more weight from her already slim frame.
The couple left their six children at home as they enjoyed a night out at the star-studded event where they were both nominated for awards.
And they proved to be the biggest draw of the night, with celebrities and fans craning to get a view of the couple in the theatre's auditorium.

Later Pitt was introduced to Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto. The film swept the board winning a total of five prizes and is now tipped for Oscar glory.
The couple's appearance comes after Brad broke his silence on rumours surrounding the start of his relationship with Angelina.
The actor confirmed his relationship with current flame Angelina began some time after his split from former wife from Jennifer Aniston.
In October, Jolie revealed that she and Pitt fell in love while making the 2005 film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." In November, Aniston called Jolie's comments "really uncool," because she was married to Pitt while the movie was in production.

But Pitt sets the record straight in W magazine, gallantly defending both women and insisting that his relationship with Jolie didn't begin until after he and ex-wife Aniston split in 2005.
'Jen is a sweetheart,' Pitt told the magazine for January issue.
'I think she got dragged into that one, and then there's a second round to all that Angie versus Jen. It's so created.'
What people don't understand is that we filmed ("Mr. & Mrs. Smith") for a year. We were still filming after Jen and I split up.
'Even then it doesn't mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn't. I'm very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful.'

Meanwhile, it was claimed this week that the couple, who already have three biological children Shiloh, two, six-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne, and three adopted children, Cambodian Maddox, seven, Pax, five, from Vietnam and four-year-old Ethiopian girl Zahara, are planning to jet to Africa before the end of January to complete paperwork on the new addition to their family.
A source told OK! magazine: 'Brad and Angelina have seen pictures of a two-year-old girl they’d love to adopt.
'If everything goes to plan, Angelina will file papers in person in the capital city of Addis Ababa in the New Year and they will pick up their new daughter two days later.'
Officials in Ethiopia have confirmed they are expecting the family this month as Brad, and Angelina are planning to visit the AIDS/HIV clinic they founded after adopting Zahara.
