Jennifer Aniston brings a smile back to Owen Wilson's face

He's quietly rekindled his romance with Kate Hudson, now Owen Wilson has one more thing to grin about.

The actor has returned to work for the first time since his suicide attempt last year for the new comedy Marley & Me, which co-stars Hollywood sweetheart Jennifer Aniston.

Back to work: Owen Wilson, who is back in good spirits, enjoyed a bonding moment with his new co-star Jennifer Aniston in Miami yesterday

Owen appeared to be back in good spirits as he filmed scenes in Miami yesterday with the former Friends star, who was turning heads in skimpy Daisy Duke shorts.

He has taken the lead role in the film, an adaptation of John Grogan's memoir by the same name about a writer who adopts a neurotic dog.

But it hasn't been all work and no play for the Zoolander star, who spent the last week enjoying under-the-radar time with his on-again girlfriend Kate, who was in Miami for a film festival.

Wheeling and dealing: the pair shoot a scene for their new comedy Marley & Me with the help of some road patrollers

A source told the New York Daily News: "They rekindled things over Oscar weekend at Madonna's big bash, and their schedules happened to sync perfectly for a Miami trip."

The reunited pair have so far alluded the paparazzi, but according to reports, while Kate spent her days frolicking by her hotel pool, she was catching up with Owen by night.

The source added: "Owen has a home in Miami and decided to come a little before filming began for his new movie, so he could spend time with Kate."
